We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Greenwich starting in February.

This role is perfect for an individual committed to supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome emotional and behavioural challenges to thrive in an academic setting. You will make a real difference in students’ lives, supporting them in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
:
• Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage in lessons and manage their emotions effectively
• Assist teachers with managing student behaviour and ensuring students remain focused on their studies
• Support students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering positive relationships with peers and staff
• Collaborate with the SENCO and pastoral team to track student progress and implement tailored support strategies
• Contribute to the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment, encouraging respect, responsibility, and self-regulation
• Offer pastoral support and act as a mentor for students who need additional emotional or behavioural guidance
• Work closely with parents and carers to ensure consistent support between school and home
