Rikama Education Ltd are currently working with a secondary school in the Cranbrook catchment that require an Assistant Senco that has a background of working with students with additional needs.

Duties involved:

• supporting the SENCO and the AEN department in all aspects of the department’s work, including the testing for, and administration of, exam access arrangements.

• promote the progress and achievement of AEN students throughout the school.

• enable students to develop their confidence, interpersonal skills, self-esteem and independence.

• promote a positive view of students with AEN across the academy

• to support the teaching staff in enabling students to achieve high quality learning outcomes.

• assist in implementing relevant aspects of the SEND CoP 2015

The position will end when the member of staff returns from maternity or after 1 year which ever is closer.
